A Few Words About Me

I Paint My Own Reality

Being self-taught allows me freedom, no barriers of conformity.

My paintings evolve through a process. Beginning with lots of colour and bold vigorous marks. Working layer upon layer over time.

Bold patterns using strong colours are a feature of my work.

The paintings can take several months to complete. Sometimes I take paintings as far as I can and have to leave them for a while, before coming back to re-work them later. The painting is complete when there is nothing more I feel the need to change.

Emotions Through Painting

My feelings and emotions are expressed through the colours I use.

Everyday impulses and impressions flow into my pictures, inspired by the moment or the setting,
